Tomorrow, 10 October 2025, the Democratic Alliance (DA) in uMgungundlovu will join KwaHhaza residents for a picket against the water crisis in the district.
Residents living in wards 8 and 9, have for years been given failed promises on how the ANC-led government plans to address issues of water provision and water infrastructure repairs.
Access to clean drinking water is a basic human right, and the DA is fighting hard to ensure that this right is realized for all. The picket will be led by the DA’s Hazel Lake (DA uMgungundlovu Caucus Leader) and Councillor Makhosi Mchunu.
Details are as follows:
Date: 10 October 2025
Time: 8am
Address: Chris Hani Drive, KwaChief, Ward 8
Members of the media are invited and there will be an opportunity for interviews and photographs.
