With the 2024 NPE elections just twelve days away, the ANC KwaDukuza Sub-Region have heeded the call made by their president to use municipal and provincial programmes as campaigning tools.
The handover of a municipal and provincial museum, which has been funded by the tax payer, forms part of their latest electioneering stunt.
It cannot be a mere coincidence that both programmes advertised at the same time, date and venue and artists are separate programmes.
This incredulous use of public funds for political campaigning should be condemned in the strongest possible terms. The ANC should not underestimate the residents of KwaDukuza, who are well aware of the years of unfulfilled promises.
The DA in KwaDukuza will continue to expose the blatant blurring of lines between party and state that the ANC continues to practice.
