The Democratic Alliance (DA) in KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) is disappointed with the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) decision to postpone the judgment on the High Court indictment for murder accused Inkosi Simphiwe Zuma.

The High Court indictment would mean that the case/s is moved from the Magistrates Court to the High Court. A very simple procedure.

The decision is rather suspicious, but we are hopeful that the NPA will do the right thing and ensure justice not only for our late Councillor Nhlalayenza Ndlovu but also for the families of other victims.

In a province plagued by political killings, we also need to set example and ensure that there is justice. An attack on public servants is an attack on our democracy.

The case has been postponed to January 2026.

Our legal team will be monitoring this case with scrutiny until there is justice for the Ndlovu family.
