The Democratic Alliance (DA) in KwaZulu-Natal welcomes the arrest and appearance of main suspect linked to the murder of late DA uMngeni Chief Whip, Councillor Nhlalayenza Ndlovu.
He was arrested on Friday, 23 May 2025, in connection with councillor Ndlovu’s murder.
He today appeared at the Howick Magistrates court and has been remanded in custody, will appear this Friday with the co-accused.
We trust the prosecuting authority and the SAPS investigating unit are prepared for the case as further delays in this shocking murder is not bringing closure to his family and friends.
The DA’s forensic team had on numerous occasions attempted to engage SAPS with evidence in this matter but to no avail.
The DA will continue to support the Ndlovu family to ensure that there is justice for our councillor.
