The DA in KwaZulu-Natal is saddened to have learned of the passing of DA stalwart, Greg Krumbock.

On behalf of the DA in KZN we extend our heartfelt condolences to his beloved Susan, family and friends.

Greg passed away yesterday afternoon after struggling for some time with a heart condition and subsequent complications.

He had served the party and South Africans for almost 40 years.

We are encouraged by the life he lived. He was able to achieve his lifelong dream and goal to see the uMngeni Local Municipality, his hometown, to become the first DA-led municipality in KZN.

Greg started his life as a DA KZN councillor, eventually becoming a member of the National Assembly. Greg played an enormous leadership role in KZN, from fundraising chairperson to Provincial Chairperson, Provincial and National Campaign Manager, as well as a long-standing Member of Parliament.

Greg was indeed a master strategist when it came to election campaigns. His teachings and strategy will live on in KZN and the DA.

The DA has suffered a great loss and KZN will forever feel the vacuum left by Greg.
