The Democratic Alliance in KwaZulu-Natal is pleased with the results of the latest polling done by the Social Research Foundation (SRF) which shows that the province is firmly on track for a new coalition government that will include the DA.

The polling conducted between 14 August and 18 September 2023 with 2434 registered voters in KZN with a confidence level of 95% reveals some interesting outcomes.

On a 58.7% poll, it shows that the DA could get 20% of the provincial vote, up more than 6% from 2019. This is good news for the party and shows that we are on a trajectory of growth which the provincial leadership have positioned the party on since 2021.

Further more, it shows that the combined vote of the DA and IFP stands at 46%, (view here and here) while the combined vote of the ANC and EFF is at 42%. (view here and here)

Effectively the DA and IFP are just 5% away from forming a government which would bring stability, growth and opportunities for the citizens of KZN.

The chance to get rid of the ANC and their corrupt coalition partners has never been more real or possible. This explains the hysterical, fabricated and opportunistic reaction by the ANC towards our Premier candidate, Chris Pappas. They know they only have 7 months left in power and will do everything they can to hold onto power.

The DA is very clear that in order to make this dream of a new government possible, we need the people of the province to register to vote between now and the registration weekend on the 18th and 19th of November.

We are also committed to intensifying our efforts to mobilise voters on mass to ensure a decisive win for the people of KwaZulu-Natal next year and will continue to rollout our political campaign to every town, village and city in the province.

Woza 2024!
