The Democratic Alliance (DA) in the KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) Legislature today welcomes former DA eThekwini Councillor, Mmabatho Tembe, as a Member of the provincial Legislature caucus.
Mmbatho was sworn in by Speaker, Nontembeko Boyce, earlier today. (view here) The move comes after former DA MPL, Chris Pappas’ departure to take up the role of uMngeni Mayor.
The DA is delighted to welcome Mmabatho to our dedicated Caucus team.
Mmabatho joins the caucus after having served on both the eThekwini Economic Development and Community Services committees, where she served as a Whip for two terms.
Her previous roles also include serving as DA Ward 33 Councillor and Secretary of the Central Durban constituency, where she also served as DAWN and ADAC representative.
Mmabatho also has a degree in Social Sciences at UKZN majoring in psychology and anthropology and has her Honours in Counselling Psychology. (view full bio here)
